Peppermint Hot Cocoa Mix

A gift that i've probably given way too many times. It's easy to make and has more of personal touch than just buying the store bought mixes. But most important of all, it actually tastes really really good. So good I'm making one for myself to sip while doing my last minute Christmas preparations.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy
In a 1 quart jar layer powdered milk, cocoa, sugar, salt, chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candy. Include Instructions on gift tag or recipe card: "Mix contents in a large bowl. For each serving place 1/3 cup cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup boiling water. Store remaining mix in an airtight container."

Fun With Wire

My first and fourth attempt at wire wrapping. The second and third weren't all that exciting because I only had smaller beads to work with.. The first one got sent to Sweden as a Christmas gift, the fourth one i'm wearing proudly. I was hoping to take a wire wrapping class during my extended break from school, but that might not be until February. Youtube has a lot of good videos for learning some of the basics. Side note: I have my last exam tonight! [=
